Dr. Geethani C. S. Galagoda

Head of Lanka Hospitals Laboratories

Dr. Geethani Galagoda has been the Head of Laboratories at Lanka Hospitals Diagnostics (LHD) since August 2016, where she also leads the Serology section in the Department of Microbiology. Holding an MBBS, a Diploma, and an MD in Medical Microbiology, she completed her post-graduate training at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the USA. Dr. Galagoda previously served as a Consultant Virologist at the Medical Research Institute (MRI), where she led national laboratories for Measles, Rubella, and Japanese Encephalitis, headed the hepatitis section, and conducted national surveillance of rotavirus gastroenteritis. Her involvement with the Ministry of Health continues to date, with membership on several committees, including the Advisory Committee for Communicable Diseases. A respected teacher and academic, she has numerous publications and presentations to her credit. Dr. Galagoda has held leadership roles, such as President of the Vaccine Forum of Sri Lanka, and has served as an editor for significant scientific publications, including the SLMA Guidelines and Information on Vaccines. Her dedication has been instrumental in maintaining LHD’s CAP and ISO accreditations, ensuring the highest standards of laboratory services in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Anuradha Wickramasinghe

Group Chief Human Resources Officer

Dr. Anuradha Wickramasinghe serves as the Group Chief Human Resources Officer of Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC, providing leadership across the full HR portfolio, including workforce planning, talent development, culture enhancement and organizational governance. With over 25 years of experience in human resources and organizational psychology, she plays a key role in strengthening the hospital’s people strategies and supporting its long-term institutional goals. Her career spans Strategic leadership Roles in both multinational and local organizations, including Marks & Spencer and Next Sourcing (UK), where she managed multi-country HR operations and developed high-performing global teams. She has also contributed to the HR transformation efforts of leading Sri Lankan conglomerates, integrating international best practices with local business needs. Dr. Wickramasinghe holds a Doctorate in Organizational Psychology, an MBA, LLB, and BSc in HR Management and a bachelor’s in commerce. She has been recognized twice as a “Woman Icon for Outstanding HR” by Times Women and is also a lecturer at CIPM, contributing to professional development in the HR field.

Dr Dilshan Anthony Fernando

Chief Operating Officer, Lanka Hospitals Diagnostics

Dr. Dilshan Anthony Fernando is a healthcare leader with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, whose career spans clinical medicine, hospital operations, and strategic management across some of Sri Lanka's most prominent healthcare institutions. A graduate of medicine (MBBS) and holder of an MBA from the University of West London, and a diploma in economics from the London School of Economics, Dr. Fernando brings a rare dual perspective, one grounded equally in clinical understanding and operational excellence. Prior to joining Lanka Hospitals Diagnostics as Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Fernando served as Group Head of Surgical Services at Hemas Hospitals, where he managed a multi-hospital network in the surgical vertical. At Lanka Hospitals Diagnostics, Dr. Fernando leads the operational strategy for one of Sri Lanka's fastest-growing diagnostics networks, driving service expansion, quality standards, and digital innovation across its island-wide collection centre footprint. 3.
